We’re talking about Shubhdeep Singh, better known as Sidhu Moosewala. While few are aware of his real name, today marks Sidhu Moosewala’s birthday. Born on June 11, 1993, in Musa village, Mansa, Sidhu Moosewala is the son of Bhola Singh and Charan Kaur. It is said that Sidhu developed a passion for singing at a young age and dreamt of becoming a successful singer. Consequently, he dedicated all his focus and attention to his musical pursuits.
Discussing Sidhu Moosewala’s career, he initially embarked on his journey as a songwriter. However, his talent and dedication propelled him towards both musical and political achievements. At the young age of 29, Sidhu garnered immense popularity among the youth, earning the title of “the heartbeat of young hearts.” Even today, it is rare to attend a party or wedding where Sidhu’s songs are not played.
In terms of education, Sidhu completed his schooling at a government school in his village. He later pursued electrical engineering at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana. After achieving success as a singer, Sidhu decided to enter the realm of politics and joined the Congress party for the 2022 assembly elections. However, despite his musical prowess, Sidhu was unable to secure a victory in the political arena and lost the election.
It is unfortunate to note that the rising star of the Punjabi industry, Sidhu Moosewala, caught someone’s attention for the wrong reasons. On May 30, 2022, he was tragically shot dead when assailants fired 12 rounds at his Thar jeep. Sidhu Moosewala passed away on the spot, leaving behind a legacy of immortalized songs that continue to resonate with audiences today.
