A distressing development has surfaced from Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh, involving a serious threat against a sitting judge. Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Mohini Bhadauria, currently stationed at a court in Teonthar near the Uttar Pradesh border, received a chilling letter delivered via speed post. The sender, claiming affiliation with a known gang, threatened her with dire consequences unless a ransom of ₹500 crore was paid. To emphasize the warning, the letter demanded her appearance in a forested location across the border between MP and UP on the evening of September 1.
Upon receiving the letter, JMFC Bhadauria immediately filed a complaint at the Sohagi police station. Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh confirmed that the matter has been registered under relevant sections of the penal code and that law enforcement teams have been dispatched to Uttar Pradesh to trace the sender and apprehend the suspect.
