Heatwaves of lethal intensity would become commonplace, posing significant risks to public health, agriculture, water resources, and overall socio-economic stability.
These extreme heat events would not only lead to health crises, including heat-related illnesses and fatalities, but also damage crops, disrupt livelihoods, and strain water supplies. Vulnerable communities, including the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions, would be disproportionately affected.
