The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka has declared a forthcoming agitation against the utilization of funds allocated for the welfare of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities for various guarantee schemes in the state. The protest, scheduled to begin on September 25, 2023, is set to address concerns surrounding the allocation of resources meant for the marginalized communities.
The decision to initiate this agitation was made during a meeting of senior BJP leaders in Karnataka, where concerns were raised about the utilization of SC/ST funds for guarantee schemes, which the party argues diverts resources away from their intended beneficiaries.
