The Asha Kirana Initiative, named to reflect the “Ray of Hope” it aims to bring, was inaugurated by state officials and healthcare professionals in a ceremony held in Bengaluru. The program’s primary objective is to reach residents in both urban and rural areas, providing them with accessible and convenient eye screenings.
Under the initiative, trained healthcare workers and volunteers will visit households to conduct eye screenings, identify vision problems, and provide information on eye care and treatment options.
