The girl, aged eight, was reportedly raped by a man in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district, according to the police. The accused was apprehended while he was on a train.
A case has been registered against him under IPC section 376 and the relevant provisions of the POCSO Act. “After committing the crime, the accused fled but was later detained during his train journey.
He is now being brought to Bikaner for further investigation,” stated Napasar Station House Officer (SHO) Sandeep Kumar.
